Its rustic and outdoor appeal, combined with its luxurious features makes this one-level home a truly unique living space. Built on this particular site to maximize the southern view of the river, it features a large overhang creating a dynamic outdoor living room, while also blocking excessive sunlight from getting into the interior of the home during the summer. The Hotchkiss Residence also utilizes the Northwest vernacular, which shields the home from nine months of rain, while capturing winter sunlight to passively heat up the exposed concrete floors.
