Essentials: Ty Dolla $ign

To say Ty Dolla $ign has enjoyed a successful 2014 so far, some might consider an understatement. Thanks to charting singles like “Paranoid” and “Or Nah,” the California native dominated the clubs and airwaves alike. After releasing his excellent Beach House EP earlier this year, he is now prepping the release of his full-length debut Free TC, due later this year. We caught up with Ty to see what things he needs on a daily basis to get by. It does not come as any surprise that his list of essentials is very much in tune with his music. Besides two different types of kush for different times of the day, the Taylor Gang affiliate is keeping it classic with his BBD Beats Pill XL and a copy of The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership by John C. Maxwell. For the sake of connectivity, he’s also making sure that his iPhone and voice does not run out of energy with a charger and some vocal spray on deck.
