According to a study of the hypercar and supercar market from Oracle Finance, prospective LaFerrari buyers have been willing to pay £1 million GBP (approximately $1.7 million USD) more than the £1.2 million GBP (approximately $2.2 million USD) listing price to ensure they get the keys to the limited cars. If unfamiliar with the automobile, Ferrari will only be building 499 LaFerraris, which may seem to be a large quantity in relation to the price, but competition for the vehicles has proven to be extremely fierce. To put this into perspective, the £1 million GBP premium is more than triple what buyers have been willing to pay extra for models such as the McLaren P1 (£300,000 GBP or approximately $501,000 USD) and Porsche 918 Spyder (£200,00 GBP or approximately $330,000 USD).
