Zeroing in on the notion of ‘freedom,’ the Spring 2015 collection from Maison Martin Margiela streaked down the runway at Paris Fashion Week. The hallmarks of traditional tailoring have been blurred by the in-house team, who experimented with color and material blocking to assert rebellious, defiant overtones. Varsity jackets and blazers, jeans, and trousers have all been deconstructed and rearranged amongst each other, creating an intentionally disorienting collection. In line with this, ostensibly polar materials like frayed silk, jersey mesh, wool and leather find themselves on the same piece at certain points. A free-flowing creative melange of shapes and styles, enjoy the forward-thinking Spring 2015 collection from Maison Martin Margiela here.
