Pharrell Williams Invited to Join Oscars Academy

The infamous “Academy” has just sent out a total of 271 invites to people from the entertainment industry. 12 of the 271 are musical names, that include our good friend Pharrell Williams. The invites come just days after the Oscars Academy publicly announced the new rules for the music categories, which prohibits members attending concerts by nominees unless in a movie capacity. These new rules came into play recently after accusations started whirling around about Academy member Bruce Broughton who allegedly tried to influence others on the committee to vote for his song “Alone Yet Not Alone.”
