Finisterre x Joseph Rodgers & Sons Cold Water Surf Knife
Folding knives are nothing new for Joseph Rodgers & Sons as the Sheffield-based cutlery specialists

Folding knives are nothing new for Joseph Rodgers & Sons as the Sheffield-based cutlery specialists have been perfecting their craft for more than three centuries, crafting specialty pieces for the likes of the British Army and the Royal Family. Now, the English smith has teamed up with fellow countrymen Finisterre to introduce the world’s first-ever cold water surf knife. Taking into consideration the stage 2 hypothermia that can afflict a surfer’s hands in the deep of Britain’s frigid seas, the beautiful piece has been accentuated with an “easy pull” loop to make the blade infinitely more accessible in the toughest of conditions. Packed with a Finisterre fin key in a reusable tin, the knife measures 2 1/4” so as to meet the UK’s legal carry standards and features a Spanish oak handle, polished high-carbon stainless steel blades, and comes complete with a stainless steel bow-shackle. Limited to just 100 production models, the collaborative knife is now available online for £90 GBP (approximately $153 USD).
