Artist Zhijun Wang of ZJ Design brings forth his latest project with Nice Kicks, which interlinks the East and West. Dubbed “From Beijing to Texas,” these customs see the ASICS Gel Lyte V model pulling inspiration from the two locations as the mismatched pair incorporates the flowers that are found in Beijing and Texas. For the Beijing shoe, it utilizes the colors found on the Chinese flag with the Chinese rose printed on the overlays. As for Texas, we find the bluebonnet pattern on the overlays and the color theme to represents the USA. Finished off with stitching on the tongue to decipher where the influences are drawn from, the pair brings together two parts of the world very nicely.
