Henry Krinkle‘s “Stay” was released back in 2012 and quickly became a dance anthem thanks to its infectious tempo and syncopated vocal samples courtesy of Alicia Keys’ “Unthinkable.” While the single has become one of the most recognizable sounds of its genre, racking up 25 million hits on YouTube, Henry Krinkle has now released a music video for the track in collaboration with online fashion purveyors SSENSE. Shot by director Jeppe Kolstrup in LA, the visuals center around a group of Californian youths battling a summer heatwave. While the relationship between the cast members remains sparse, underlying hints of boredom, romance and aggression are prevalent throughout. “The drama is all in the details and in the mood, a mood inspired by heatwaves” says Kolstrup.
