Inspired by Burial‘s seventh EP Rival Dealer on London’s Hyperdub Records, UK director Ben Dawkins has created a short film titled Dealer. Based on a gritty narrative, which follows a drug dealer in London’s underground, the cinematic visuals complement the producer’s 10-minute title track. While not an official video, Hyperdub’s given its blessings:
“Director Ben Dawkins got in touch asking us if he could use ‘Rival Dealer’ by Burial to make a short film that has been inspired by the track. We said he could, and his interpretation is exciting and beautifully made.”
