Microsoft Unveils the Surface Pro 3

Billed as “the tablet that can replace your laptop,” Microsoft presents its brand new Surface Pro 3. The latest addition to its Surface range of tablets, the Surface Pro 3 builds on its predecessor to become the thinnest, lightest and most powerful tablet Microsoft has ever offered. Featuring a 12” ClearType Full HD screen with 2160 x 1440 resolution – 38% larger than that of the Surface Pro 2 with 50% more pixels – the design boasts a fourth generation Intel Core processor with internal storage capacity ranging from 64 to 512 GB with 4 or 8 GB of RAM, full-size USB 3.0 port for peripherals, a Mini DisplayPort for projecting to an external display, and a microSD card reader for expandable storage. The tablet now also includes a new multi-position kickstand that features a friction-hinge, thus allowing you to pick whatever angle you want from zero to 150 degrees. Undoubtedly one of the most noteworthy additions is the upcoming release of Photoshop CC – optimized for the Surface Pro 3 – and other Adobe’s Creative Cloud products in the future.
The Surface Pro 3 is set to launch June 20 and can be pre-ordered online beginning May 21 at 12:01 a.m. EDT.
