Louis Leeman 2014 Spring/Summer Collection

Realized by Dutch designer Louis Leeman and Italian stylist Erica Pelosini, Louis Leeman unveil its 2014 spring/summer collection. Meticulously handcrafted, the collection draws inspiration from the Far East, building on motifs found in mystical Eastern tales, ancient folklore and oriental art. Looking to prints in its narrative, Kitagawa Utamaro’s erotic painting and calligraphy from Master Mei Hua lend themselves as lavish cues, while the use of patterned geometric lines reflect the rooftops of the Forbidden City. Spikes and studs parallel as bold accents seen on samurai warriors, alongside woven embroidered uppers that cull from traditional sewing techniques.
