With Michael Jackson‘s new posthumous album, Xscape, on shelves now, fans have already gotten to hear a collaboration between the King of Pop and Justin Timberlake in “Love Never Felt So Good.” It now appears we can expect something similar to arrive in the future with Justin Bieber. Epic Records chairman L.A. Reid, says he has something “very special” in the works that will feature Bieber over some previously unreleased material from Jackson. No official word on when that may drop, but read what Reid had to say about the subject below.
“I signed Justin, so I feel a loyalty. I feel like I should protect him. That’s my relationship with him,” said Reid. Referencing a song which leaked online in 2013 featuring vocals from both Bieber and Jackson before being promptly removed, he continued: “‘Slave 2 The Rhythm’ didn’t include him per my direction. If it hadn’t been leaked, it would have been featured but it sort of took the wrong turn. But you know what? We’re gonna revisit that and do something really special with Justin Bieber and Michael.”
