After treating us to the steamy visuals for the single “Sexercize,” Ms. Minogue has returned with the video interpretation of her Pharrell-penned track “I Was Gonna Cancel.” Lifted from her 12th studio album Kiss Me Once, the video sees the Aussie artist detached amongst a bustling crowd as she subtlety dances to the music. A far step away from her usual highly produced visuals, “I Was Gonna Cancel” takes an abstract approach and is almost reminiscent of her earlier years in the ’80s. Kylie explains the video:

It’s an abstract look at pedestrian life and how we’re all just trying to get through and rise above everyday challenges. Although the song talks about a real life event that happened the day I recorded the song with Pharrell, the video has a more conceptual approach and I love how surreal it looks.
