For the many that have wondered just how vast Nike’s corporate footprint is, the Oregon-based brand delivers an interactive map that does just that. The Nike Manufacturing Map identifies the various countries in which it operates its own or contracts a second party manufacturing facility. Employing nearly one million workers in 43 different countries, one can filter into the specifics of Nike production, including which sub-brands or product types constitute a certain percentage of its workforce in a particular part of the world. This map should prove to be quite interesting over the next decade or so as Nike continues to move away from the tradition of human labor and towards the future with robotic innovations.
