Did Drake Take a Shot at Jay Z During The Nets-Raptors Playoff Game?

While Jay Electronica claimed there is no beef between Drake and Jay Z, things might look a bit different from today on. During a conversation with TSN commentators Matt Devlin and Jack Armstrong during the Raptors game today, Drake was asked about how he felt about the team’s first playoff appearance since 2008 and he said something that could be easily interpreted as a shot at Hov:
“It’s a red-hot revival in here tonight. It’s the uprising, man. KG [Kevin Garnett] is frustrated, the young boys are out tonight [...] this is the people’s team, the Toronto Raptors. Jay Z is somewhere eating a fondue plate,”
A month ago, Jay Z used the line “Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk/Silly me rapping ’bout shit that I really bought” in his “We Made It” freestyle. The line could be seen as a response to Drake’s comments about Jay’s art references “getting kind of corny” in his most recent recordings during his interview with Rolling Stone. Interestingly enough, Drake’s hometown Raptors are facing the Brooklyn Nets in round uno of the playoffs. Jay had an ownership stake in the Nets at one point before becoming an agent through Roc Nation Sports. Drake meanwhile is the Global Ambassador of the Raptors. See the video below.
