Best Cover Yet? Ed Sheeran Takes on Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love”

Another day, another surfboard: Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love” has been covered and remixed so many times since it came out, that nothing could surprise us at this point really. Yet again, Ed Sheeran‘s version of the song is somehow refreshing. The UK singer stopped by Z100’s Morning Show to chat with host Elvis Duran and play his special cover song, which he teased during Ryan Seacrest’s radio show back in March.

“I did around 12 seconds of it and everyone online was like, ‘I wanna hear a full version!’”

It is safe to say that we now want to hear a CDQ version of the song as well. In related news, Sheeran dropped his Pharrell-produced single “Sing” recently and announced his new album X earlier this week. The sophomore effort features 12 tracks and will also be available as a deluxe edition with four additional songs, including The Hobbit soundtrack cut “I See Fire” and “Even My Dad Does Sometimes.” See the tracklist below.
