Every year around early March, media outlets around the world round up their finest lensmen and writers, sending the pair down to balmy Austin, Texas. The pilgrimage is often credited to South by Southwest (SXSW), which is arguably the premier live music festival experience in the U.S. today. Premier festivals, accordingly, attract premier talent, highlighted by Kanye West and Jay Z‘s performance last night at the Austin Music Hall. Sponsored by Samsung, attendees bearing Samsung devices with Milk Music installed were granted free entry. The setlist, comprised of an epic 35 songs, spanned the canon of both artist’s individual and collaborative songs, although there was still no mention of the pair’s anticipated Watch The Throne sequel.
