Unmistakably American in its aesthetic, Filson has evolved into a definitive example of domestic workmanship around the world. The brand took to the grand stage at Baselworld 2014 in Switzerland, debuting its first-ever watch collection to the public. Comprised of four sub-collections – dubbed the “Mackinaw,” “Rivermaster,” “Journeyman,” and “Pilot” respectively – the entire offering was built by Detroit-based sister company Shinola with a commitment to American quality and craft. Accordingly, the watches infuse high-quality materials fitting with Filson’s style, including luxe bridle leather and premium anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Other features rival those of foreign competitors while staying true to the brand ethos, including chronographs, compass functions, and 20 ATM water resistance. Head over here for more information on the collection, and be sure to look for Filson’s inaugural watch collection to launch at Filson and Shinola stores by October.
