With about $90 to his name and nearly no means of paying rent, Daniel Arnold offered prints of his own photos to an eager audience. What’s more though, the New York City-based photographer added fuel to Instagram‘s development as a viable and somewhat reputable photography medium. On the day of his 34th birthday, Arnold gave his 22,000-person audience a chance to purchase 4×6 prints of their favorite photographs, with prices set for a mere $150 each. The response was unprecedented: $15,000 worth of orders arrived within the next day, with some people even offering upwards of $1,000 for heavily-favored prints. After “eating toast three meals a day all February,” surely Arnold is excited for this new chapter. Head over to Forbes for more on this story.
