Three months after presenting the lyric video, Angel Haze has teamed up with i-D and director Rollo Jackson to present the official video for her single “A Tribe Called Red.” Named after producers A Tribe Called Red who are First Nation Canadians and makers of “pow-wow-step,” the stripped-back black-and-white aesthetic clip allows Ms. Haze to explore her cultural heritage. The message?

“You gotta make a decision to be the one difference in your life, And turn it around, Turn it around, turn it around, Even when you feel you dumbing it down!”

The song comes off her debut album Dirty Gold. While you’re at it, make sure to read our conversation with Angel Haze here.
