In the wake of Nike SB‘s high-profile collaboration with Jordan Brand, which blends the line between sports footwear, here we take a closer look at the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1. The shoe calls in design cues from famed skateboarding stalwart Craig Stecyk, who himself was present for Air Jordan’s initial skateboarding appropriation in the 1980s. The shoe features a green iridescent upper on the side panels and toe box, complimented by matte black leather at the sidewalls and hallmark Swoosh. Finer details include polka dots around the padded upper collar, as well as “AJ One SB” printed in Stecyk’s signature style around the heel and interior. Look for this release from Nike SB and Jordan Brand to drop at each brand’s respective retailers beginning March 15.
