Following its debut last summer, the Leica X Vario – essentially a miniaturized take on the Leica M – has returned for Spring 2014 with a brand new silver finish. This aesthetic alternative to the blacked-out original retains the same specs as its all-black counterpart, boasting a 16MP APS-C sensor alongside a Vario Elmar 18-46mm f/3.5-6.4 ASPH lens (35mm equivalent. 28-70mm), a 3.0″ 920k-dot wide-angle LCD monitor, and full HD video recording with 1920×1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. A remarkably high-performance package considering its size, the German-made X Vario – complete with its new silver finish – will soon be available at select Leica dealers for $2,850 USD.
