After it became official that novelist and screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis (American Psycho, Rules of Attraction) had written a script for a film adaptation of Yeezus, a single leaked page from the possible script in question has emerged.
Inspired by Kanye West’s album of the same name and literally taken from his tour promoting it, the page depicts a scene where Kanye meets Jesus at the top of a mountain and is tasked with “ending the world’s ambivalence.”
Among some of Kanye’s corrections and suggestions such as a Tibetan mountain backdrop for the scene, he specifically requests that Irish actor Liam Neeson play the role of Jesus himself.
No word yet on if and when the film will enter production, so stay tuned for more updates as the project builds momentum.
