While the current Suns push to reclaim their winning ways – having pushed aside Golden State for the sixth spot in the West – FILA hopes to celebrate one of the clubhouse’s legends with a new release. The resurgent footwear brand will re-release the pro model of Kevin Johnson, the former Suns guard and current mayor of Sacramento, in a Phoenix-themed colorway. Given Johnson’s mayoral responsibilities, proceeds from the shoes will benefit his civic interests: the Sacramento Public Policy Foundation and the Think Big Sacramento – the latter of which, ironically, is focused on a new arena for the Sacramento Kings. Look for these to drop at select FILA stockists on February 13.
