In developing ad agency BBDO’s office in Moscow, the main challenge that architectural firm Nefaresearch faced was finding a way to reconstruct a 19th century four-story factory building into a modern office space that meant the constant change of the advertising industry. The goal was to create, with irony, a rich dynamic and contemporary image in the BBDO’s branded palette that unified each office space, yet divided them into functional work zones. While the ground floor serves as a welcome center for its visitors and guests, it also features a number of working/meeting areas as well as a cafe that can transform into several additional functions, from conducting seminars to a testing lab. The remaining three floors are devoted to working spaces that are intended to respond to the ever-changing realm of advertising by being instantaneously reconfigurable depending on its required purpose.
