Nike‘s penchant for transferring relevant technology to other sports silos recently saw the unveiling of the Nike Free SB. The naturally inclined Free technology that debuted within running has been a popular piece of design in more recent times (despite releasing more than a decade ago). Much of this is thanks to an overall interest in more minimalist offerings in the market all while the sleek tooling has been decidedly on-trend in a realm dominated by streamline silhouettes. The inclusion of Free in a skateboarding context ensures greater board feel and of course a more flexible experience. Two new monochromatic colorways will release in black and “Summit White” variations on Thursday, December 25 at 8 a.m. EST via Nike.com.
