Introduced in 1965 as an entry-level sports car, Porsche‘s 912 coupe looked almost identical to its flagship 911 model, from its shell to its chassis, except with a smaller and noticeably cheaper four-cylinder engine. Unfortunately, within five years the 912 was discontinued as a result of the 911 growing in global popularity. Five decades later however, the world of vintage automobiles is seeing a resurgence of these nimble two-seaters, not only because of its rarity, but because classic 911s have become much more expensive over the years. Petrolicious recently caught up with a 912 owner to learn more about its history as well as its hiatus while weaving through the backroads and city streets of France.
