Dr. Dre is Forbes' 2014 List of Highest-Paid Musician

With his imprint Beats by Dre purchased by Apple this year for $3 billion USD, Dr. Dre tops Forbes’ list of “Highest-Paid Musicians of 2014.” Dre reportedly took away $620 million USD from the sale of his technological mainstay alone. While it can be argued that this figure falls more within the category of tech than music, Dr. Dre is certainly more synonymous with music than his later pursuits. Others on the list include Beyonce at $115 million USD, The Eagles at $100 million USD, and Drake who sits at number 30, racking up $33 million USD — an upswing from last year’s income of $10 million USD.
