We took to Goodhood Store’s basement for our next coffee-based installment of HYPEBEAST Eats. Here we asked COMMUNE for its take on how the perfect cup of coffee should be served. Keeping it pure and simple, COMMUNE opts for black filtered coffee as it represents the “purest” way to enjoy the different types of beans out there — comparable to wine in terms of detecting the various profiles of aroma and taste. First, 16 grams of coffee beans are grounded via the Mahlkonig EK43, then filtered using a Kalita Wave filter with 260 grams of water, and finally ready to drink after a relatively short extraction time. Happy to make a latte along with other espresso/milk-based drinks, COMMUNE recommends drinking the beans in their purest from every now and then.
