As part of its Fall/Winter 2014 collection, German contemporary menswear label, Ucon Acrobatics, recently joined forces with Haw-Lin, the multidisciplinary creative studio that was founded in 2011 by Nathan Cowen and Jacob Klein. Haw-Lin’s inspiration for this season’s “artist edition” capsule was derived from the world of motocross and, in particular, the sport’s logo decals that are most commonly seen on bikes and helmets. These eye-catching graphics influenced the collection’s print and pattern designs, while the appropriately-athletic cuts were intended to be oversized but tapered at almost every closure. Each piece is reversible and combines various contrasting materials, resulting in a range of comfortable, yet high-end sportswear that fits seamlessly into Ucon Acrobatics’ sensibility.
