Childish Gambino To Executive Produce and Star In TV Pilot 'Atlanta'

Alongside his music endeavours, Childish Gambino also known as Donald Glover, continues to take the silver screens as another avenue to flaunt his charisma. Following from securing a role as the new Spiderman, Glover is set to executive produce and star in a new pilot for FX titled Atlanta. Staring as one half of the lead duo (two cousins with dissimilar personalities) the comedian-actor-rapper will play Earnest “Earn” Marks, a college drop-out and music fanatic who offers a humorous perspective of Atlanta’s hip-hop scene by following his musical aspirations to find fame as a rapper. Atlanta is written by Paul Slimms (known for his work with Girls and Flight of the Conchords) and judging by Glover’s unique disposition in both music and film, it’ll sure be a release worth your while.
