Of the many variants in the compact line of vehicles from Mercedes-Benz, only the CLA class doesn’t offer the functionality of a liftgate. Until now. Introducing the CLA Shooting Brake with the aesthetics of the CLS Shooting Brake applied to the speedy CLA four-door coupe, but in a smaller form. The sharply-designed wagon features a revised roofline for more headroom in the backseat area and significantly more cargo capacity than its sedan sibling. The CLA Shooting Break will be available in a variety of engine choices, including a 2.1-liter turbodiesel with either 136 or 177 horsepower, a 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 122, 156 or 211 horsepower, and that last of which will offer 4Matic all-wheel drive. The top of the line however is the CLA45 AMG Shooting Brake featuring the same 2.0-liter turbo four with 360 horsepower as the four-door CLA45, A45 and GLA45. Driving to all four wheels, this model will reach 62 mph in 4.7 seconds and top out at the usual 155 miles per hour. Unfortunately however, the CLA Shooting Brake is not expected to be sold in the States.
