Portland-based Fieldwork Design & Architecture joins Nike’s Workplace Brand Design group for the wall design of Nike’s Beaverton, Oregon expansion buildings. The walls incorporate repurposed maple gym flooring in straight lines with the addition of offsets to create a wall that is full of depth and texture. The walls feature a diagonal “NIKE” logo, “NIKE” with a “SWOOSH,” and a more intricate large windmill made up of joined “SWOOSH” logos. The walls and the use of material, in a way, gesture towards Nike‘s influence on the court and its home state’s fondness for nature and the outdoors.
