With the premiere of his music video for “Ticket To The Moon,” Brooklyn-based rapper, SMTH looks to launch his career and go from local phenom to nationwide emcee. Backed by the atmospheric sample of ELO’s 1981 song (“Ticket To The Moon”), the visual seems symbolic of SMTH’s foreseeable future as it displays an astronaut roaming the streets of New York City before blasting off. The video is currently vying for the top spot and airplay in mtvU’s round of The Freshmen this week, but you don’t need a poll to realize and understand the buzz surrounding SMTH.
