As we’ve learned last year, the Yeezus “Guilt Trip” was originally recorded for the platinum-selling joint album, Watch The Throne. The track was eventually left off Kanye West and JAY Z’s project as it didn’t seem to conceptually be “in the same zone” with the other songs that made the cut. However, ‘Ye loved the beat so much that two years after the birth of “Guilt Trip,” he added drum sample magic by Travi$ Scott and finally released the track on his latest solo offering. In a conversation with DJBooth TV at this year’s A3C ProAudio Conference, G.O.O.D. Music’s beat architect, Symbolic 1 (aka S1) shared more details about how things developed.
