Russian Billionaire Buys the Legendary Nürburgring Racetrack

According to various German media outlets, the legendary Nürburgring racetrack has been purchased by Russian billionaire Viktor Kharitonin. Although the Formula 1 track was originally acquired by Capricorn Group and Getspeed for €77 million earlier in the year, the former has been facing major financial issues and was forced to sell the famous circuit. A new owner coming in and taking the reigns may actually be good news because it could have been forced to shut down due to the financial instability of the previous owners. The 2015 German Grand Prix is yet to be assigned to a track so keep a look out for the Nürburgring to host it.
