Gorillaz fans rejoice! According to an article from The Sydney Morning Herald, lead singer and co-creator of the animated band, Damon Albarn, is in the “process of reactivating Gorillaz for a 2016 release.” If this is indeed a full album as opposed to an EP, the project would be a followup to 2011’s iPad-recorded The Fall. There aren’t any more details at this point, but 2D, Murdoc, Russel and Noodle will be making their return in two years time, hopefully accompanied by another eclectic roster of guest artists.
