One of the world’s leading Scotch whiskies Ballantine’s has recently released a short film capturing “Black Coffee’s Human Orchestra,” a musical experiment involving the eponymous DJ and Producer, and a 40-strong group of vocalists from all over Africa. The film also explores his backstory and his beliefs on life, music, and creation as the Human Orchestra deconstructs and faithfully recreates one of his most famous tracks, “Rock My World,” only using vocals. This unique project does well to embody Ballantine’s “Stay True” spirit.
Born in Durban, the South African artist has continued to unite his passion for music and social initiatives through unique challenges which have included a record-setting 60-hour DJ set. Immersed in music since the age of two, his penchant for musical experimentation has seen him through various bands, music school and eventually as a club DJ known for his modern contribution to the trending ‘Afropolitan’ house movement.
