Amazon, Not Urban Outfitters, Is the World's Biggest Vinyl Retailer

A mere 6 days after we reported on Urban Outfitters’ supremacy in the realm of vinyl sales, a recent Billboard survey has found that although UO might be the strongest physical retailer of 45’s, it’s actually online mega-mart Amazon that claims the crown for overall sale figures. Whilst Amazon’s infinite online reach ensures a 4% margin between the two, the fact that UO are even in the discussion is impressive given the tech-savvy age we live in and how easy it’s become to acquire those rare Kraftwerk B-Sides and limited run progressive Serbian house EP’s without getting our fingers dusty.
