BADBADNOTGOOD - Kaleidoscope (Kaytranada's Flip)

While we wait for any new bit of information or any new sounds from BADBADNOTGOOD‘s forthcoming collaborative LP with Ghostface Killah, here’s a flip of their III track “Kaleidoscope” cooked up by Kaytranada. The 22-year-old producer/DJ’s flip moves the track into a different direction, taking the song from the dimly-lit lounge to the swampy dancefloors. This new rework eschews the virtuosic instrumentation of the original in favor of a flourish of cascading melodies and more traditional structure, while a mellow house shuffle has replaced BADBADNOTGOOD’s usual jazzy percussion.
