Nike Zoom Kobe VI "Prelude"

It’s no secret that Los Angeles is a special epicenter of sports culture. Alongside basketball, the Southern California city boasts a rich heritage in surfing and skateboarding, not to mention the worlds of music and street art that are inextricably intertwined. All of these qualities come full circle in the newest release from the “Prelude” series by Nike, which considers the Zoom Kobe VI this time around. Famously worn by Kobe Bryant in pursuit of his 2011 All-Star MVP award at the Staples Center, the silhouette is adorned with an animated collage of sea wildlife in Southern California – a colorful homage to his longtime city and its cultural ecosystem. This release from Nike will arrive at select retailers in the U.S. and China on January 11.
