Panasonic will soon begin offering a range of brand new Leica-designed lenses aimed at high-end

Panasonic will soon begin offering a range of brand new Leica-designed lenses aimed at high-end shooters – an endeavor that kicks off with this 42.5mm f/1.2 model. The first in the so-called “Nocticron” range, the portrait-friendly lens – designed specifically for MFT Lumix cameras – is highlighted by all-metal construction and includes a brand new stepping motor for fast and accurate autofocus, as well as enhanced optical image stabilization for low-lighting at big apertures. Priced at $1,600 USD, the premiere “Nocticron” offering is now available to pre-order ahead of its release in the months ahead.
