Toro y Moi is set to depart on a near two-month journey across America, tapping friends in eclectic acts such as Vinyl Williams, Classixx, and The Sea and Cake. As a parting gift, Chaz Bundick’s chillwave jam outfit has recently released a special tour-only 7” of “Campo,” a previously unreleased single. While the opening moments of the song may lend themselves to, say, a jazz standard, Toro y Moi finds a way to transform the lazy, plucking bassline into the backbone for a tense, yet irresistible melody.
