One of the most common nightmares is falling infinitely in a black hole of nothingness. It plays on the feeling of being lost and alone, which for some, is the most horrifying feeling imaginable. Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron’s forthcoming thriller Gravity brings these dreams, however terrifying, to life. A trailer for the film has just been released, which finds Dr. Ryan Stone, played by Sandra Bullock, spinning uncontrollably in limbo after her space shuttle was damaged in an accident. Notably, Cuaron is also the director of 2006’s Children of Men, which should only further drive anticipation for Gravity, which is due in theaters October 4.
