Russian retailer FOTT has teamed up with Onitsuka Tiger on an exclusive collaboration utilizing the Onitsuka Tiger X-Caliber silhouette as a canvas. First debuting in 1982, the X-Caliber was revolutionary for its time thanks to the unique midsole and performance credentials, but it’s a shoe that is now seldom seen. For this collaboration, FOTT has reworked the classic runner’s upper with hardy and weather-resistant Ventile fabric and colored the upper in a combination of blue, green and white that hearkens back to the original store logo. 3M reflective material has been added to the stripes on both sides and the rear panel — a nod to Onitsuka Tiger’s classic California 78 model. A map of Moscow on the insole and FOTT logos on the heel complete the look for this slick collaboration. The FOTT x Onitsuka Tiger X-Caliber will be available in limited numbers at FOTT starting September 28 followed by a global release on October 5.
