The drama continues. Pharrell Williams and will.i.am have not been on best terms lately due to P’s i am OTHER brand. The dispute has been going on for several months, with Pharrell filing a lawsuit against the former The Black Eyed Peas frontman. Now, Will has “returned the favor” and answers with a countersuit, claiming that Pharrell’s brand is too similar to his own i.am+ brand and that the artist has a long history of copying others. As TMZ points out, the lawsuit further notes that Pharrell is currently being sued by Marvin Gaye’s family for allegedly ripping off “Got To Give It Up” in Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines.” But wait, there’s more. The suit also claims Pharrell tried to register the trademark Pink Slime, which was similar to Slime owned by toy manufacturer Mattel. Sounds like drama.
