After a glimpse over the weekend comes a closer, more detailed look at the unannounced release of the Nike Free Flyknit HTM SP collection. Teased now for months thanks to the appearance of countless prototypes at various Flyknit installations, the latest release from the minds of Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker is essentially a more sportswear-leaning take on the Free Flyknit runner; instead of the elasticized form-fitting upper of the Free Flyknit, the HTM release opts for the tried-and-true upper of the Flyknit Trainer, coupling it with a low-profile Free 5.0 sole. A so-called “Silent Release,” the Nike Free Flyknit HTM SP Collection is now popping up in extremely limited quantities at select NSW retailers and Tier Zero locations.
