Extra Butter x ASICS #DL5 Preview

New York sneaker boutique Extra Butter gives us a sneak peek at its latest project simply referenced as #DL5. Like the Reebok Pump OXT “The Sheriff” release last year and the AXT “AHCHOO” before that, this new collaboration with ASICS once again draws inspiration from the silver screen. From the teaser video it is clear that the movie this time is the fan favorite Kill Bill, where The Bride was known to don a yellow jumpsuit and matching Onitsuka Tiger Tai Chi’s with custom “F*CK YOU” outsoles. While the darkened silhouette appears to take on the shape of the Gel Saga model but with no indication of the controversial customization, we’ll have to wait and see what this talented group can do with the renowned sports footwear brand.
