The Hanger One: ICARUS_13 Sat One and Roids

The second installment from The Hanger One Project, a series by Hangfire that uses aeroplanes as a base for street and graffiti art, is ICARUS_13: an unconventional street art project that combines the forces of famed graffiti artists, Sat One and ROIDS. Faced with a Boeing 737 as their canvas, the artists were confronted with the challenges of painting upon a unique, yet massive and complex, curved aluminum surface in the midst of wind and wet weather conditions. The four-minute video, which is shot and composed by Gavin Strange, shows the artists maneuvering precariously around the giant vehicle as they slowly and steadily encompass it with paint.
