The current incarnation of the legendary Saint Laurent brand, under the creative direction of Hedi Slimane, has already made several allusions to rock ‘n’ roll history through its campaigns, tapping icons such as Marilyn Manson, Courtney Love and Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon to represent the brand in campaigns of recent past. Slimane fleshes out these ideas, which are firmly rooted in glam and punk rock, in his latest collection for Spring/Summer 2014. Accordingly, the Saint Laurent collection this season plays off of a black color base; skinny black jeans and trousers are matched with classic biker jackets, bold striped turtlenecks and dazzling speckled blazers. Bandanas and bolo ties serve as the necessary accessories to this collection, accenting the trimmed silhouettes with a dash of Iggy Pop-style sensibility. Enjoy a look at the collection above.
